US CPA audit support · Delivered remotely

US CPA audit support: working papers prepared in Dubai, the opinion signed by you.

Fieldwork files to your templates and methodology, prepared in Dubai while your office sleeps. Your engagement letter, your review, your opinion, your signature.

How it works

Working papers for your audits, under your name.

A CPA firm in the United States that is short of hands in the season can send us the fieldwork. The engagement stays yours: your engagement letter, your opinion, your signature. We produce the working papers to your templates, under your review, and you keep the client.

The work follows the AICPA audit guides, the Statements on Auditing Standards and your firm's own methodology. It is led by a California licensed CPA, license 147070, with our US associates on the US side.

Dubai is 8 to 12 hours ahead of the United States. A file sent at the end of your day is worked on while you sleep and is usually back by the start of the next, which is the point of sending it this far.

The file

What goes into the working papers.

  • Planning. The planning documents and the risk assessment, built from the prior year and the client's current numbers.
  • Lead schedules. Trial balances, lead schedules and third-party confirmations, tied to the financial statements.
  • Controls. Walk-throughs and tests of internal controls, documented to your firm's standard.
  • Substantive testing. Revenue, expenses and balance sheet items, with the samples and the results on the page.
  • Analytics. Analytical procedures with each significant variance explained, not just calculated.
  • Roll-forward. The prior year's working papers carried forward, so continuity costs less.
  • Completion. Tick marks, cross-references and reviewer notes, and a file indexed and complete before it reaches you.

Peer review

Files brought up to standard before the reviewer arrives.

A peer review looks at a sample of engagement files against the professional standards. Where a firm has had a busy season and thin documentation, the time to find the gaps is before the review, not in the letter afterwards.

We read the selected files against the AICPA's audit documentation requirements, list what is missing or weak, and help close it where the work was done but not written down. Where the points come from a completed review, we help with the follow-up on each one.

Questions we are asked

Five straight answers.

  • 01

    Who signs the audit opinion?

Your firm, always. We prepare working papers under your review. The engagement letter, the review, the opinion and the signature stay with you.

  • 02

Which standards do you work to?

The AICPA Statements on Auditing Standards and audit guides, and your firm's own methodology and templates.

  • 03

How do files move between us?

Through the audit software or the shared file space your firm already uses, under your access rules and your confidentiality terms. We work in your format, not ours.

  • 04

    What about the time difference?

Dubai is 8 to 12 hours ahead of the United States. A request sent at the end of your day is worked on while you sleep and is usually back by the start of the next.

  • 05

    What does it cost?

A fixed fee per engagement, quoted within one business day of seeing the scope and the prior year's file, before any work starts.
